Winemakers Comments
This pale lemon-gold wine opens with aromas of stone fruit and summer meadow; clover, wild flowers and bush honey.
The palate is dry and mouth-filling, with nectarine, apricot and citrus hints. The rich texture carries through to a soft, rounded finish with hints of pear.
Try this wine with a warm goats' cheese salad garnished with candied walnuts. Equally good with a lemon and garlic roasted chicken, or grilled pork loin, served with sweet baby carrots and parsnips. Light fruit based desserts such as baked apple with cinnamon cream will showcase the versatility of this wine.
About the Winery

Has all the characteristics of a Riesling! Minerals, dry and acidic.
Needs to be drunk at room temperature to appreciate the citrus notes at the end. Don't drink it too cold.
Purchased based upon it's win in Germany. It's a wonderful sauv blanc for an afternoon with a few dips and friends. Not a patch on Cloudy Bay, equals Dog Point and Craggy Range, better than Phillip Shaw or Shaw&Smith. I'll buy again as it's great to have an Australian Sauv blanc in the house not ruined by the addition of semillion.
A most drinkable pinot gris with a slightly sweeter flavour without the harsher overtones of similar products.
